Questions and Answers

Will I be informed about an interpreting order in advance?

No. Chatlas is a 24/7 on-demand service, so the clients expect immediate access to the interpreting service. That means you can receive a call from the client any time according to your available hours. (schedule)

Is there a certain amount of hours I have to make per week?

No. You may stay online as many hours as you wish. But during those hours, please, make sure, you’re able to provide your best quality interpreting service.

Will I have to use my personal phone number?

No, all the calls are received through the app for interpreters. Once the app for interpreters is installed, you will be able to receive calls to your iOS, Android or desktop device.

If there is a conference call, do I have to pay for this additional call?

No, all calls are processed through our system. You don’t have to pay for any additional call.

How does the payment process happen?

After every interpreting session, you will see the history of calls and the earnings in your profile. As soon as you have 10 Euros or more on your account will be able to request payment via your preferred method of payment.

Do I have to pay commission to the service out of my earnings?

No, you will receive exactly what you have earned, unless your bank or your payment system takes a commission.
